What is Beyond?

We’re inviting finance industry leaders, experts and forward-thinkers from all over Europe to share their insights into what the future holds for finance teams and companies in Pleo's first multi-location event. Beginning in London, we’ll be hosting half-day events in six cities total including:

Here’s who you’ll be hearing from at Beyond in London. Let’s hear it for:

Jeppe Rindom — CEO and Co-Founder at Pleo 

Jeppe has been on a mission to solve his former-CFO-pains. We’re talking centralised spending, procurement teams, and outdated tools. It’s this mentality that birthed Pleo back in 2015. Outside of Pleo, Jeppe is an angel investor in start-ups in Europe and the US, primarily focused on business software and fintech.

Mette Gade — Chief Product Officer at Pleo 

With a background in engineering and having previously worked at Mckinsey Digital for over 10 years, she is an experienced leader and problem solver. Mette represents a new generation of leaders whose understanding of their role is defined by vulnerability, compassion and honesty. 

Torben Andersen — AI Enablement Lead, Director of Engineering at Pleo

Based in Copenhagen, Torben has worked at Pleo for almost three years, directing our engineering efforts across all markets. Prior to this, Torben’s professional experience ranges from software development and consultancy at various tech companies including Planday, Undo and SimCorp. 

Johnny Bray — CFO at Vistair 

Johnny is an ACA qualified commercial finance manager at a tech company with a broad remit, including owning sales and commercial negotiations, operational, legal and financial (both commercial and accounting aspects of finance). Prior to this, Johnny was an auditor with experience of a wide range of industries and businesses, from SMEs to FTSE companies.

Cristina Criddle — Technology Reporter at Financial Times 

Cristina writes about technology for the FT and specialises in social media, big tech regulation and emerging technologies like the metaverse and AI. She won a gold medal at the 2023 MHP Group 30ToWatch Journalism awards for her technology reporting. Previously, she was a technology reporter at the BBC, where she presented on TV, radio, and podcasts.

Ham Patel — COO, Vice President at Oracle NetSuite EMEA

Ham has over 30 years of experience in the software industry, spanning all aspects of taking a product to market. He’s experienced in communicating complex technology to others and his roles have covered technical support, consultancy, pre-sales, marketing, partner management, strategic partnerships, and strategic account management.

To really understand the new way of finance, we have to dive deeper into the new and most anticipated trends that we’re starting to see more of. To help us learn more about this, Christina Criddle at the Financial Times is hosting a session that cuts through the AI hype machine and covers the advancements, possibilities and potential challenges that lie ahead in the world of finance with a deep dive into how artificial intelligence and machine learning is shaping the financial sector. 

In our other session, you’ll be hearing from panelists discussing all things data and analytics, the balance between trust and control, and the need for and benefits of automation and digital transformation.
